Cesar Javier spoke to the Board regarding injustices in the region and concerns about the community.

 

Robert Germann spoke to the Board regarding a possible ICE deportation facility at Gillespie Field and requested transparency regarding any plans for such a facility.

 

Kathleen Lippitt spoke to the Board regarding concerns about the County’s cannabis social equity ordinance, impacts to rural and unincorporated communities, groundwater protections, and youth exposure to high THC products.

 

Alisha Morrison spoke to the Board regarding difficulties for multiple household members registering to speak using the same computer and requested a more user-friendly public comment registration system.

 

Purita Javier spoke to the Board regarding long standing concerns about alleged toxicity from a ceramics kiln in a residential area, referrals between agencies, and the need for local zoning and air quality enforcement to address health and safety impacts on seniors.

 

Barbara Gordon spoke to the Board regarding opposition to expansion of marijuana businesses in the unincorporated area, citing addiction, impaired driving, and youth mental health impacts, and thanked Supervisor Desmond for highlighting planning group opposition.

 

Lisa Jablow spoke to the Board regarding alleged long term neglect and mistreatment of horses on Artesian Road and urged County authorities to intervene and remove the animals.
